Seif, Helen (26 December 1898 - 1962)

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Mrs. Fred (Helen) Seif, 63, Madison, formerly of Neillsville.  The Rev. Norman Lindloff was in charge. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Seif, the former Helen Klann, was born December 26, 1898, in the Town of Pine Valley. She was the daughter of the late August and Albertina (Wagner) Klann. On April 18, 1918, she was married to Fred Seif in Neillsville.  She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Seif is survived by three children: Mrs. Harold (Sylvia) Becker, Corona, Cal., Louis Seif, Wisconsin Rapids, and Franklin Seif, Madison; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bartosz, Unity, Mrs. Albert (Freda)Haymes, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Louisa Schultz, Neillsville; three brothers, August Klann of Neillsville, Herman Klann of St. Petersburg, Fla., and William Klann of Portage.  Ten grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were conducted September 4, from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Mrs. Helen Seif; no death date given.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Chester Seif, Dale Seif, Robert Seif, John Rychnovsky, August Nemitz and Ed Hauge.

 

"The Lord’s Prayer" and "What a Friend we have in Jesus" were sung by Robert Mitte accompanied by Victor Lehman.

 

People from out of town here for the service were: Mrs. Harold Becker, Corona, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Seif and family, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Irvin Thoma and son Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Seif and daughter, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klann, Portage; Mrs. Minnie Bartosz and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Luchterhand, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Sloniker, Stetsonville; Mrs. Lauer Keuer and Mr. and Mrs. John Gluch, Granton; Charles Seif, La Crosse; Chester Seif, Augusta; Arthur Schaefer, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Al Leonnard, Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Becker, Brillion.
