Granton (6 September 1962)

Raymond Maxwell of Granton is staying with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Maxwell, in Beloit until he can find a house so he can move his family there.  He recently got his old job back at Fairbanks-Morse.

Mr. and Mrs. George Schreihart and family, Mrs. Helen Lemke and Joy Johnson, all of Milwaukee are visiting Mrs. Edna Rehorst in Granton.

The Granton Women’s Civic club welcomed the teachers in the Granton schools with bouquets of flowers on their desks Tuesday morning.  Mrs. Eugene Thiede, president of the club and a teacher, promoted the project. Twenty-two bouquets were made by members for the presentation.

The Ladies Aid of the Methodist Church will meet this (Thursday) afternoon in the church.

Sunday guests at the Roland Quicker home were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Schafer, Birnamwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Opelt and family of Neillsville.
