Janet B. Hoffman, 62, Spencer, died on Thursday, June 23. 2011, at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian burial was held at 10"30 a.m., on Monday, June 27, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Charles Stotzel officiated. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

 

Janet Werner was born on Dec. 3, 1948, in Marshfield, to Walter and Mary (nee Becher) Werner. She married Richard H. Hoffmann on July 12, 1980, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield. She taught at the parochial school; in Auburndale, and Sacred Heart Parochial School and Title 1 in Marshfield. She worked at Mom’s Day Care Center in Marshfield and Medford and operated Jan’s Pre-School in Spencer. She enjoyed nature, traveling and lived for her daughter, Theresa, and grandchildren. She was a teacher and office supervisor for Christ The King CCD Program for more than 20 years.

 

Survivors include her husband, Richard; one daughter, Theresa (Brandon) Krohn, Marshfield; two grandchildren, Hailey and Logan Krohn, four brothers, Gerald (Phyllis) Werner, Paul (Kathi) Werner, Mike (Ruby) Werner and Eugene (Brenda) Werner, all of Marshfield; and three sisters, Marian (John) Kramp, Dolores (Steve) Sternweis and Lois Werner, all of Marshfield.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
