Geiger, Irving (7 NOV 1919 - 2 JUL 2011)

 


DORCHESTER -- Irving Geiger, 91, of Dorchester, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.


A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.


Irving was born Nov. 7, 1919, to Joseph and Minnie (Wittman) Geiger in the town of Mayville. He worked for Strecko Doors in Abbotsford. Irving was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed taking photographs, dancing and traveling.


Irving is lovingly survived by his friend, Mary; nieces, nephews and friends.


Irving is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Isabelle Kauer and Adaline Heindl; and his brothers, Bernard Geiger, Clarence Geiger, Arthur Geiger and Sylvester Geiger.


Memorial contributions will be donated to local nonprofit organizations.
