Neillsville Locals (18 October 1962)

 

Miss Cherylynne Zajac, student at Eau Claire, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thad Zajac, over the weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hackett returned Friday to Cedarburg after spending the week with her sister, Mrs. Harry Carl, and family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Weast of Kansas City, Mo., are house guests of his sister, Mrs. Robert Dwyer, Sr. and family and are visiting his brother, William Weast.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dwyer of Milwaukee were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mrs. Gareth Bollom and family.  They also called on his parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dwyer, Sr.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prochnow and children visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Trewartha, last weekend.

 

Mrs. Lois O. Guest spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. Arlene Roderick in Minneapolis.  She was accompanied by her daughter, Terri.

 

Mrs. Walter Marg and Mrs. David Marg of Black River Falls were visitors last Thursday at the Henry Schutte home.

 

Lloyd Buettner of Appleton visited at the Otto M. Schultz home last week.

 

Mrs. Howard O. Geise entertained ladies at bridge at her home Wednesday evening.

 

Dr. Sarah Rosekrans visited Thursday with her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Sheldon, and her family in Eau Claire.  Greg, Chris and Sarah Mallory spent the weekend with their grandparents, Drs. Milton and Sarah Rosekrans.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Johnson camped and did some fishing and hunting near Hayward last weekend.

 

Mrs. M. V. Overman attended an American Red Cross meeting Thursday and Friday in Oshkosh.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Shock visited last weekend with Ellsworth, Jr., and his family in Grafton.

 

Hugo Klauer and Fred Griep fished on Mud Lake, near Chetek last week and Hugo landed two muskies.

 

Garth Jensen visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Jensen, in Eau Claire Thursday and Friday and attended a meeting there Thursday.

 

Mrs. Ira Hinkel and Mrs. Ida Kach of Fort Atkinson visited from Monday to Wednesday at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. W. C. Koehler.

 

Postmaster Mike Krultz will leave Friday to hunt mule deer in northern Montana.  He will be accompanied by Selvian Krultz, Town of Warner, Leon Kuester, Alfred Zillmer and John Remminger of Greenwood.

 

The residence of Mrs. Alice Zaeske at 310 Grand Avenue, Neillsville, has been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stelloh, who plan to move into it in the near future.  Mrs. Zaeske is now living in Bandon, Ore.

 

The Hilltop Homemakers met October 10 at Mrs. Charles Tews’ home.  The October project, "Decision Making," was given by Mrs. Melvin Appleyard.  The health topic was presented by Mrs. Fred Appleyard.  Plans were made for the club’s annual Halloween party, with members to be fined if not in costume.  A blind auction will be held, with proceeds to go to the club treasury.  The party will be October 24, at 7:45 p.m. with Mrs. Gordon Sharratt as hostess.  The door prize at Mrs. Tews’ was won by Mrs. Gerald Eberhardt.
