Elstrom, Shirley  (07 JULY 1956)

A supper was served in the church basement following the 3 o’clock marriage ceremony of Miss Shirley Elstrom and Robert Kollmansberger, which occurred Saturday, July 7. Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, was the setting for the nuptials of the son and daughter of Robert Kollmansberger Sr., Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Ole Elstrom, Colby. The Rev. F. Sprengler officiated.

The bridal gown was fashioned of lace over satin, and she carried a cascade arrangement of roses and carnations. Tiny covered buttons extended down the front of the long-sleeved bodice which was designed with a portrait neckline. Tulle was inset in the snug waist. Her lace skirt was in bouffant floor length. Attached to a tulle headpiece was a finger-tip veil of illusion,

Purple mums and white carnations accented the strapless white net over taffeta gowns worn by the three bride’s aides. Miss Myra Kollmansberger, the groom’s sister, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Arthur Wehrman and Miss Rita Weix, friends, were bridesmaids.

Attendants for the groom were Chester Franke, Unity, the best man, and Arthur Wehrman, Loyal, and Florian Seichter, Boyd, Duane Elstrom, Lake Forest, Illinois, and Robert Stephens, had charge of ushering.

The couple will live in Loyal. He is a graduate of the Loyal High School, and she from Colby.

Out-of-town persons attended the wedding from Chicago, Ill., Bristol and Minneapolis, Minn., Toledo, Ohio, Lake Forest, Highlaand Park, Highwood, and Lake Bluff, Ill., Bellewood, Spencer, Chippewa Falls, and Owen.
