Liebzeit, Carol Jean (Marriage - 20 October 1962)

The United Church of Christ in Greenwood was the setting Saturday for the wedding of Miss Carol Jean Liebzeit of Marshfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Liebzeit of Rt. 2, Greenwood and Lee D. Cook, Rt. 3, Marshfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cook of Rt. 1, Loyal.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Orval Egbert before an altar adorned with baskets of chrysanthemums.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore the traditional white gown. The full, floor-length skirt was attached to a fitted Basque bodice. A fingertip veil was attached to a crown headpiece.  She carried a cascade of pink roses.

Miss Diane Liebzeit of Marshfield was maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Mrs. Roy Cook, Marshfield; and Miss Sandra Liebzeit of Greenwood. They wore street-length sheath dresses of social taffeta, featuring a rose petal detachable overskirt, short sleeves and portrait necklines in gold.  Their headpieces were petal clips with face veils.

Dennis Cook of Loyal was bestman.  Groomsmen were Roy Cook, Marshfield, Eldon Liebzeit, River Falls, and Bruce Liebzeit of Greenwood.  Ushers were Richard Schlinsog, Marshfield, and Delmain Toburen of Greenwood.

Debra Liebzeit attended her sister as miniature bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride, and a supper was served in the church parlors.

On their return from a wedding trip to Miami Beach, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Cook will reside at 304A E. 4th St. Marshfield.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Cook are 1959 graduates of Loyal High School.  She has been employed as a stenographer and Mr. Cook a mechanic in Marshfield.
