Locals

 

Roger Green returned Wednesday from a few weeks visit in California.

 

Mrs. G. Herrick called at the Chas. Jakel home Saturday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Zenzel of Clark called on friends in Curtiss Sunday.

 

Miss Marie Potter of Gilman spent the week end at the home of Mrs. H. Machlett.

 

Mrs. Chas. Rahn and children spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. Neitzel.

 

The German Reformed Ladies Aid met last Wednesday at the home of Mrs. H. Marquardt.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wagner and daughter Joyce of Thorp, visited Sunday with Fred Ostenson and family. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Sturner were Sunday visitors at the Fred Ostenson home.

 

Miss Nina Johnson visited Saturday at the home of her brother, J. Johnson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Nels Olson and sons left Friday for Texas where Mr. Olson will be employed.

 

Mrs. H. Jens and daughter Pearl and Mrs. A Johnson were Colby callers Saturday afternoon.

 

John Peterson, the attorney recently located at Owen, was a business caller in Curtiss Tuesday. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Green and Roger Green were Sunday callers at the L. Neitzel home in Abbotsford.

 

Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Neitsch, Mrs. Richter and Miss Esther Pudlas visited at the home of Mrs. H. Peterson. 

 

Remember the election of officers at the P.T.A. meeting Thursday evening Feb. 19th, at the school house. 

 

Mrs. H. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ulrich and daughter spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jakel.

 

Mrs. and Mrs. E. P. Schroeder of Marshfield visited Thursday at the Frank Schroeder home. Miss Ella Schroeder accompanied then to their home for a few days visit.

 

Mr. and Mrs. F. Thieme and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Koerner were Sunday evening visitors in the Domer home in Green Grove.

 

E. M. Peterson, A. M. Hansen and A. M. Erickson attended the Chamber of Commerce meeting at Owen Monday evening. 

 

The Misses Amelia Bannach and Evelyn Sievertson spent the week end at their home at Custer and Auburndale, respectively.

 

Thursday evening a number of young folks from here drove to Abbotsford to attend a birthday party given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schorer in honor of their son Norman. 

 

Harold Klessig of Curtiss, and Rudy Berger of Withee, came together with their cars at the four-mile corner, two miles east of Curtiss Sunday evening.  Both cars were damaged by none of the occupants were injured.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen received a telegram announcing the birth of a baby boy in the home of their son Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hansen at Shirley, Ind. Mrs. Hansen was formerly Miss Amelia blank, who taught school here a few years ago.
