Petkosek, Margaret (13 February 1905 - 14 November 1962)

 

Mrs. Margaret Petkosek, 57, of Greenwood died November 14, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield where she had been a patient for three weeks.

 

Margaret Bubai, who was born February 13, 1905, in Hungary, was married to John Petkosek in 1923 in Chicago.  She came to the United States with her parents when a small child.  After their marriage the couple lived in Springfield, ill., until 1950, when they moved to Greenwood, where she resided since.  Her husband died February 26, 1956.

 

Mrs. Petkosek was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society and for a number of years prior to her illness she was treasurer of the Clark County cancer unit.

 

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Marion Jacobs of Miami Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Leona Moon of Homestead, Fla.; a foster sister, Mrs. Max (June) Cooper of McKeesport, Pa.

 

Funeral services were held November 17 from the Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Daniel Zielske officiating.  Burial was made in the greenwood Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers, all brothers-in-law, were: Leo Gregorich, William, Frank, Martin, John and Tony Petkovsek.

 

People from away who attended were: Mrs. Marion Jacobs of Miami Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Mary Beton, Mrs. Frances Bruske, Charles Bruske, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petkovsek and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Petkovsek, all of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Anna Lassen of Waukegan, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Jordan of St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Gregorich of Willard; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Felts of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Tisch of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Polnaszek of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Polnaszek of Abbotsford; and friends from Green Bay, Willard and Loyal.
