South Grant (14 January 1910)

 

The Funeral of Grandma Kalossa was held at the church Monday and a very large crowd attended.

 

Homer Davis and family, Mott Osgood and family and Mable Welch spent Sunday at R. W. Mellen’s.

 

Mr. Becker entertained at an ice bee Wednesday.

 

Byrl Kidd and wife spent Sunday at Mr. Wischulke’s.

 

Word was received here to the effect that Lena Anding and Elsie Breseman will soon be home for a visit.

 

Helmuth Beyer was out calling Tuesday.

 

Teacher: "I wonder what your mother would say if she knew how backward you are in geography."

 

Mable: "Oh maw says she never learnt "jogfry" and she’s married and aunt Sally say she never learnt jogfry and she’s married, and you did and you ain’t, so there."
