Lynn (14 January 1910)

Paul Martin was a holiday guest at the John Martin home left on Thursday for his home in Plymouth.

Ferd Helm was very much surprised on his fiftieth birthday Saturday, Jan. 8, when about fifty or more of his friends marched in and gave him a royal good time.  Cards and other amusements afforded the pastime and a bounteous luncheon was served.

Miss Lillie Opelt entertained the Busy Bee embroidery club last Saturday afternoon.

Max Opelt, John Martin, O., W. Becker and Geo. Ure attended the meeting of the stockholders of the First National Bank at Neillsville Tuesday, Jan. 11.

There will be a hard time dance at the town hall Saturday night. Good music in attendance. An oyster supper will be served at the Max Opelt residence.

Earl Brooks had a bad accident last week injuring his hand very badly in the corn shredder.  Dr. Ross of Granton is looking after the injured member.

O. W. Becker, A. Grassman, and Joe Wirtz harvested ice the last of the week.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Romanstad of Great Falls, Mont., who are the guests of the Wm. Schlinsog family in company with Mrs. Schlinsog visited Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Beil Tuesday. The former are cousins of Mrs. Beil.
