Vinnie, Audrey A. (29 NOV 1947)

Audrey Anne Vinney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Vinney, became the bride of William J. Arnold, son of Mrs. Florence Parker, of Ithaca, N.Y., on Nov. 29th, 1947, at St. Joseph’s parish house.  Rev. Joseph L. Brake officiated at the ceremony.

The bride was lovely in white bridal satin, made very plain.  A peplum to which a long train was attached, hung from the waist.  The veil was lace trimmed and held in place by a crown of seed pearls.  Her bouquet was pink roses and pompons with a background of pink feathers.

Miss Frances Vinney, a sister of the bride, was dressed in blue net of taffeta.  She carried pink carnations.  The maid of honor, another sister of the bride, wore pink net over taffeta, and also carried pink carnations.

The groom was attired in a blue pin stripe suit and his attendants, Eldon Vinney and Rayman Warthan, wore suits of dark brown and grey.  They each wore a carnations in the lapel of their coats.

At noon a fine wedding dinner was served at the bride’s home to the relatives, in a room trimmed in pink, and white and blue.  Saturday evening the happy event was celebrated by a dancing party at Silver Dome.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold left Monday morning for the southern part of the state, where the groom has employment.

A shower was held for the bride at the home of her mother, on Nov. 15th.  She received some very lovely gifts which she will cherish a long, long time.
