Herb Green spent a couple of days of the past week in Milwaukee.

A.C. Rosolack had the misfortune to lose his smokehouse by fire one of the cold breezy days of last week.  A quantity of meat which he was smoking for a customer, was also lost.

Mr. and Mrs. C.W. hart went to Altoona last Thursday to spend part of the day with Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Shute.  Mr. Shute has been confined to his bed much of the time, following illness in early January.

Mrs. E. Dickie of Fairchild spent Thursday afternoon with friends in the village.  Mrs. Dickie had recently visited her sister, Mrs. Eva Baumgartner of Greenwood.  She found her comfortably situated and well cared for.  Mrs. Baumgartner is no longer able to read due to cataracts, but enjoys visits from old friends.
