Noyes, Mr. & Mrs. Edmund (Move to Calif. - 1948)
The last of next week former Principal and Mrs. Edmund Noyes and family, and his father, Charles J. Noyes, expect to leave for their new home in Mendocino, Calif. Mr. Noyes will become a member of the high school faculty in that city, which is a place of about one thousand or more inhabitants, located on the sea coast about 100 miles north of San Francisco. It is expected that they will remain in California for several years, if not permanently. Mr. Noyes was principal of our school since the early spring of 1940, and assistant a couple of years before that time, holding the record for term of service. He graduated from the high school with the class of ’38, and received his degree from Eau Claire State Teachers College. Mr. Noyes, Sr., is one of the oldest residents of our community (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.). All regret the family leaving, but wish them the best the world offers in their new home.
