Pueschner, Gordon L. (13 APR 1947 - 23 JUL 2011)

Gordon L. Pueschner, 64, passed away July 23, 2011 surrounded by his family at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born April 13, 1947 in Colby, to Rita (Gutenberger) and Gordon J. Pueschner, the fifth of nine children. He was very proud of his service to his

country, serving 11 years in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a well decorated Marine who served two tours in Vietnam, after which he was a narcotics investigator with CID.

In 2002 he retired from the post office after 38 years of government service. Over the years in his "free time" he

worked as a farrier. He later worked for RTP for five years until he became ill in 2009.

Gordon was a history buff who enjoyed researching his ancestry and gold exploration. He also enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and forge work. Gordon leaves behind his father, Armin "Butch" Walsh; his wife, Patricia; four children, Todd Gordon, Craig Edward, Sara Elizabeth and Andrew Paul; six brothers and sisters and his special walking partner Anna.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27th at St. Ann's Episcopal in Windham. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Gordon's memory to Gibson Pavillion, MMC, 22 Bramhall Street, Portland, Maine 04102 or Gosnell Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
