Stowe, Mr. & Mrs. Earl (Gold - 18 MAR 1964)

 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt E. Scheel, route 1, Loyal, son-in-law and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stowe, will hold open house Sunday, March 22, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in celebration of the Stowes’ golden wedding anniversary.  No invitations are being sent.

Earl Stowe, son of the late Ed and Lillian Stowe, and Ann Litka, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Litka, were married March 18, 1914, a Loyal by the Rev. Mr. Kemena.

Their attendants were the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Philpott.

 

Mr. Stowe was born Feb. 26, 1881, in the town of Beaver and his wife was born March 10, 1884, in the town of Loyal.

 

After their marriage they lived one year in Montana proving up on a homestead land claim where Mr. Stowe had lived two years previously.  Returning to the town of Beaver, they purchased their present farm, where they since have resided.  Children of the Stowes are Howard, at home, and Mrs. Gerhardt E. Scheel of the town of Beaver.

 

Their only grandchild is Rodelle Earl Scheel, Sun Prairie, and they have one great-granddaughter, Rochell Kathleen Scheel, Sun Prairie.
