York Center (30 December 1910)

Happy New Year to all!

Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Turner visited Loyal friends last week.

Ethel Free left last week for a short visit with her sister Mrs. Erlo Davis.

This seems to be an exceptional good time for Bachelors.  Art Flint and Geo Mortimer are both looking rather lonesome. We believe it would be a good thing if they each came half way and bunk together.

Matt Randorf and family spent Christmas at Jos. Randorf’s.

A good entertainment was given at District No. 1 school house and a large crowd attended.

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gullick called at Neillsville Saturday.

Merrill Benedict is quite busy hauling wood when not at York Center store.

Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Warner spent a day at Neillsville last week.

A large number of relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mr. Wm Benedict last Monday to eat Christmas Turkey.

Chas Campbell and lady friend spent Monday at Neillsville.

Forest Rowe spent Christmas at Chas Campbell’s.

Mrs. Estella Mortimer left last week for Glenwood where she will visit a short time with relatives.

Ed Voigt now makes his usual call on Main line north and south with the exception of a half block west on the corner.
