Klemetson, Floyd F. (27 NOV 1924 - 21 OCT 1998)

 

Floyd Franklin Klemetson, 73, died on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, 1:30 p.m., at the Curtiss Alliance Church in Curtiss, with Rev. Carl Swarr officiating.  Burial was in St. Paul’s Norwegian Lutheran Church Cemetery in the Town of Hoard, Curtiss, with full military honors.  Pallbearers were: Galen Erdman, Larry Johnson, Robert Uhlig, Warren German, Delbert Urhlig, Arian Hamm.  Honorary pallbearer was Floyd Bowen.  Visitation was at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

 

Floyd was born Nov. 27, 1924 in Curtiss, the son of Morris and Katherine (Schiszik) Klemetson.  Floyd and the former Doris Hettler Buchanan were united in marriage on Nov. 20, 1984 in Neillsville.

 

A self-employed carpenter, he had worked for area building including D & M Builders of Medford.  He was an outstanding musician and in the early years he played with the Norm Lindau Band.  He later organized his own band called "The Incidental’s" and entertained at weddings and area supper clubs.
