Hansen, Donald L. (12 NOV 1934 - 8 OCT 2011)

 

Donald L. Hansen, 76, of Unity, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. 

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer. The Rev Kenneth A. Dix will officiate. A time of visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer. 

Mr. Hansen was born Nov. 12, 1934 in Waushara County, to Harold and Mildred (Warren) Hansen. Donald attended Spencer Area Schools. On Sept. 21, 1957 Donald was united in marriage to the former Sandra Rahm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. 

Mr. Hansen was employed as a Field Rep for AMPI. 

Donald enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He especially cherished the time spent talking on the phone with friends. Donald also enjoyed horse pulls and watching Westerns. 

Mr. Hansen is lovingly survived by his wife, Sandra Hansen; two sons, Kerry (Lori) Hansen and Kurt (Denise Zimmerman) Hansen; four grandchildren, Brittany (Shaun) Handke, Nicholas Hansen, Kyle Hansen, and Stacy Hansen; three step-grandchildren, Ryan (Jess) Landini, Jaime (Travis) Wolf, and Kristen (Ryan) Aumann. 

Donald was proud of the fact that he had a great-grandchild on the way and three step-great-grandchildren, Addysen Wolf, Payten Wolf, and Kenley Aumann. He is further survived by siblings, Allen Hansen, Nancy (Phil) Schilling, and Ruthanne Rahm; as well as, many other relatives and friends. He will truly be missed. 

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred; as well as a brother, Raymond.
