Harrington, Ellsworth A. (1 May 1910 - 26 February 1963)

 

Ellsworth A. Harrington, 52, of Milwaukee, a former resident of Neillsville, was killed Tuesday in a collision of two semi-trailers on Highway I-94, east of Hudson.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville, and burial will be made in the Butlerville Cemetery.  The Rev. W.C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ will officiate.

 

Mr. Harrington was born May 1, 1910, in Eau Claire, the son of D. and Anna (Beldon) Harrington. The family moved to Milwaukee, where he received his education.

 

Following his marriage to Lucy Butler on November 9, 1932, in Clark County, he did carpenter work in Augusta.  He had been a driver for the Advance Express since 1939.  In 1945, the Harrington family moved to Neillsville and built the home now owned by the Gary Corey family.  They moved to Milwaukee in 1956.

 

He is survived by his wife and three children: Richard of Milwaukee, Mrs. Morris (Jean) Johnson of Milwaukee, and Mrs. William (Karen) Seelow of Albuquerque, N. M.

 

He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Etta Strader of Augusta, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Geraldine Oliver, El Monte, Cal.,; Mrs. Arlin (Martha) Decker, Curtiss; Mrs. Ernest (Minnie) Christie, Crystal Lake, Ill.; Mrs. William (Cora) Morgan, El Monte, Cal.; Mrs. Everett (Agnes) Miles, and Mrs. Clifford (Joyce) Cleveland both of Honolulu, Hawaii and James Harrington of Augusta.  Four grandchildren, also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Ellsworth A. Harrington, 52, of Milwaukee, formerly of Neillsville, who was killed February 26, in an accident involving two semi-trailers near Hudson.  The Rev. W. C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated and burial was made in the Butlerville Cemetery near Thorp.

 

Pallbearers were Maurice May, Jerome Buza, Wayne Bush, Eugene Thiede, Franklin Gault and Arthur Drescher.  Flowers were carried by Mrs. May, Mrs. Kenneth Seelow, Mrs. Jerome Buza and Mrs. Wayne Bush.
