Sensenbrenner, Edward R. (23 SEP 1889 - 8 JUN 1958)

 

Edward R. Sensenbrenner, 68, formerly of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died Sunday at the Barnes Veterans Hospital at Vancouver, Wash.

 

Sensenbrenner was born in Pittsville, Wis. on Sept. 23, 1889.  He came to Thorp with his parents in 1904 and his father operated a meat market here until 1907, when the family moved to Stanley.  He went to Washington in 1931.

 

He was a member of the Selective Service Board in Vancouver, Columbia Concil 1327 of the Knights of Columbus, Smith Reynolds American Legion Post 14, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans and the Optimist club.  He was a past commander of Legion post 14 and a trustee of Vancouver Elks Lodge.

 

Funeral services were held at St. James Church, Vancouver on Wednesday and burial was made in the Willamette national Cemetery in Portland.

 

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Iris Sensenbrenner of Vancouver, a daughter, Mrs. Keith Wright, Yakima, Wash., a son, Edward R. Sensenbrenner Jr., Vancourver, three sisters, Mrs. Catherin Davis and Mrs. Sally Simon, Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and Mrs. Loretta Babbitt of Racine, Wis., and four grandchildren.
