Grajkowski, Mr. & Mrs. John S. (Gold - 29 JUN 1958)

 

Mr. and Mrs. John S. Grajkowski celebrated their Golden Jubilee on Sunday, June 29, 1958, with a High Mass at 8:00 o’clock at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, where they were married 50 years ago.  They were preceded into the church by two little grandchildren, Kathleen and Dale Grajkowski dresses in gold.  Mr. and Mrs. Grajkowski were blessed with six children, five sons living and one daughter who was killed in the tornado in 1924, and twenty-seven grandchildren.

 

A reception, dinner and supper were held at the St. Hedwig’s Catholic School Hall.  In the evening a dance was held at the Quonset Ballroom for a large crowd of relatives and friends from Thorp and elsewhere.

 

Out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grajkowski and family, Berlin, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Grajkowski and family, Wis. Rapids, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Alex Garbarski and son, Mrs. Sophia Wiater and son, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cushing, Mrs. Adolph Giesler, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Siegel and daughter, Mrs. Russ Bothie and Richard and Dawn, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zale and son, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Swien Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Anton Swienarski Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ludka, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Klugiewicz and family of Milwaukee; Mrs. D.C. Knudson and daughter, Wayzata, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Grajkowski, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. John Klugiewicz, Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Deniskiewicz, Mrs. Elsie Roytek and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Zakrzewicz and family of Stanley.
