Christmas Eve and supper guests at the James Vitort home were: Mr. and Mrs. Casey Kubiszewski, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grendys, June and Frank Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Kokaly and Bonnie.

Mrs. Anastasia Vitort, Mr. and Mrs. James Vitort and family spent Christmas at the Kubiszewski home.

Mr. and Mrs. Steve William visited Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brenner Tuesday evening.

Rev. and Mrs. Schreffler and Linda Hawks were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Filipiak, Monday evening.

A fire Tuesday noon at the Wilfred Sorenson home created considerable damage to the house.  The Thorp fire department and neighbors were able to save the furniture and contents of the first floor but the upstairs was destroyed.  Mr. and Mrs. Sorenson had recently remodeled and painted the interior.  Fire was believed to have started from the chimney.  They are at present living with Mrs. Wm. Sorenson but expect to move back in about a week.

John Ver Weyst, in company with Irvin Peterson, Bart Brandt and Carl Brandt, went to Clear Lake, Minn., Monday to the Nutrition Experiment Farm there to observe the Pigloo system of raising pigs.

Paul Forestr returned to College at West De Pere, after the holiday vacation.

(Additional Note from Paul Forestr)

Stan:

Thanks for this.  I remember helping move furniture out of the Sorenson home.  Great misfortune, but we did save a lot and no one was injured.  Yup, back to St. Norbert for the second semester of my Junior year.  Good memories.  Paul
