Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Golden - 31 December 1962)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson of Christie observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday at their rural home, although the wedding date was December 31.

 

Mr. Johnson and the former Tilda Johnson were married December 31, 1912, in Stanley, and have lived in the Christie area since 1926.  They retired from active work a few years ago, but still; reside on their farm in the Town of Weston.

 

They are the parents of a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Violet) Anderegg of the Christie area.  A son, Donald, died in 1939.

 

Guests at the observance were: Mrs. Edith Luchen of Chippewa Falls, who was bridesmaid for Mrs. Johnson in 1912; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Lars Larson, Elmer Anderson, and Mrs. Alvin Peterson, all of Stanley; Mrs. Esther Johnson of Boyd; Mr. and Mrs. Louie Ludowise of Balsam Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson and sons of Eau Claire; Mrs. and Mrs. Barwick Fuller, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Ackerlund and Mrs. Anna Cass, of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Norrish of Rock Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weber and Lorri of New Berlin; Mrs. Thora Larson and children of Bayfield; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Grieger of Genoa City; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson of Vesper; Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Benedict of Loyal; Mrs. A. W. Gerhardt of Owen; Mrs. Marvin Wagner of Black River Falls; Mrs. Senneth Norrish of Seattle, Wash., and Harold Murphy of Black River Falls.
