Wehrman, Alvina (17 July 1881 - 6 July 1963)

 

Mrs. Alvina Brandt Wehrman, 81, a lifelong resident of this area, died Saturday afternoon in the Neillsville Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for a week with a heart ailment.

 

Mrs. Wehrman, nee Alvina Rossow, daughter of Carl and Bertha (Krause) Rossow, was born July 17, 1881, in the Town of Beaver.  Her first marriage was here in 1899 to Louis Brandt.  He died in 1906.  Her second marriage took place in 1907 to Carl Fred Wehrman.  He died in 1948.  They lived 5 ½ miles northeast of Greenwood.

 

After the death of her husband, Mrs. Wehrman moved to Greenwood and had lived here since.  She was a member of Grace Methodist Church.

 

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Wendlandt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, Oscar Brandt of Greenwood, Clarence Wehrman of Menomonee Falls, and Eddie Wehrman of Lannon; three brothers, Rinholt Rossow of the state of Washington, Arthur of Flasher, N. D., and Rudolph of Meridian, Ida.; four sisters, Mrs. Regina Fritz of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. John (Ella) Besch, Miss Helen Rossow and Mrs. Clara Wanamaker, all of Eatonville, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from Grace Methodist Church.  The Rev. Paul Doering pastor of the Methodist Church in Loyal was in charge.  Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
