Gus Lindow lost a valuable horse through sleeping sickness last Thursday.
Pete Hotchkiss looked over the roads in the S.E. part of the town on Monday, where they are in bad shape. He reports seeing a hat in the center of the road under which he found a man riding on a load of hay, the mud being so deep that just the man’s hat appeared above the mud. Now if anyone else told us this we would not believe it, but as Pete has no bad habits outside of being bashful, for which he has a good reason, we will give him credit for trying to tell the truth.
