Romadka (9 June 1910)
White Sunday or Pfingsten is past again.
In our last items we forgot to mention that our population has increased again, as there was born to Mr. and Mrs. Gust Reich a son early last week.
The only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Baker is reported to very sick with scarlet fever. To prevent further spreading of the disease the family is put under quarantine.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schlinsog spent Sunday afternoon with our cheesemaker, W. J. Gerlach.
Miss Alma Flint visited home last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schlinsog were cheerfully surprised Sunday when Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lafendofsky came over from Heintown on a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Art Johnston and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Strey paid them the same honor.
Miss Lillie Handt is spending the fore part of this week visiting relatives and friends at South Grant.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Garbisch and Miss Freda drove over to Henry Albrecht’s Monday for a visit.
It is probably good news to many readers that we will at last have a straight road to Loyal. The honorable town board decided Tuesday to build the last tract, about a half mile highway. This will remove the last link to make the unite with Town Loyal complete.
