Vitort, Anastasia (28 FEB 1879 - 28 JUN 1959)

Mrs. Anastasia Vitort passed away at the Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley on Sunday, June 28^th, 1959.  Death was caused by old age infirmities.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Disher at St. Hedwig’s Chapel on Wednesday, July 1^st at 10 o’clock, with burial in St. Mary’s Czestochowa (Junction) Cemetery.

Mrs. Vitort (Anastasia Symbal) was born in Poland on Feb. 28, 1879, thus having reached the age of 80 years and 4 months.  She arrived in America at the age of 14 and in 1902 was married to Joseph F. Vitort at Chicago, Ill.  She has resided on a farm in the Stanley area for the past 45 years and previously lived at Chicago, Ill., and also Phillips, Wis.

Surviving are one son, James Vitort, five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Kurcob, Cicero, Ill., Mrs. Casey (Lottie) Kubiszewski of Thorp, Mrs. William (Alice) Burwitz of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Rudy (Stella) Kokaly of Thorp and Mrs. Frank (Julia) Grendys, also of Thorp, fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a brother, Alex Symbal of Stanley, Wis.  Two sons preceded her in death, Vincent in infancy and Frank in 1916, also 2 brothers and 8 sisters.

Pallbearers were Arnold Burwitz, Bob Kurcob, Ben Kurcob, Frank Grendys Jr., Andy Hany..?, and Leon Vitort.
