Graikowski, Henry F. (21 OCT 1910 - 11 JUL 1959)

 

Henry F. Graikowski, 48, of berlin, and formerly of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died suddenly at the Berlin Memorial Hospital Sunday morning, July 11, 1959.  He had become ill while driving his car on Huron Street, and although he attempted to bring his car to a stop, he lost control and hit a pole on Johnson Street.  According to a doctor who was present at the scene of the accident, no injuries resulted from the auto accident, and death was attributed to a stroke.

 

Mr. Graikowski was born Oct. 21, 1910, in Thorp, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Graikowski who survive their son.  He was married to Elsie Ulka on Sept. 4, 1934, in Thorp.  He moved to Berlin in 1952 and was a farmer in the Town of Berlin until 1955.  At present he was employed by Neenah Foundry Co., Neenah.

 

Surviving besides his wife and parents are three daughters, Mary, Ardell, and Lois, all at home, one son Richard, Appleton, four brothers, Raymond, Joseph and Victor, all of Thorp, and Leon, Wis. Rapids, and his grandmother, Mrs. Johanna Garbarski of Thorp.  One sister preceded him in death.

 

The rosary was recited at Wiecki Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Monday evening.  Funeral services were held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. and at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 10:30.  The Rev. J.F. Bieniewski officiated.  Interment was in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery at Thorp.

 

Pallbearers were: Leo Hedler, Joe Polokas, Tony Polkas, John Moxgowiec, all of Thorp, and Lenard Jodarski, and Julius Drover of Berlin.
