Kralcik, Richard "Rich" (December 8, 1949 - November 12, 2011)

 

Richard "Rich" Kralcik, age 61, of Athens, died peacefully at his home early Saturday morning Nov. 12, 2011.


He was surrounded by his wife and children and under the tender care of Asera Hospice.


Mr. Kralcik was born December 8, 1949, in Wausau, the son of John and Dorothy (Holbach) Kralcik. He was a graduate of Abbotsford High School and received an automotive degree from the Wausau Technical Institute.


Rich was united in marriage to Sandra J. Kleparski on November 8, 1969, at St Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford.


Mr. Kralcik worked as a sales representative before becoming an over the road semi-truck driver, which he did until retiring in 2006 because of ill health.


Rich had many interests, hunting, boating, motorcycling and flying were his favorites. He volunteered for the EAA Fly In at Oshkosh for over 15 years. Rich was also a racing fan and followed Dale Earnhardt racing team.


He is lovingly survived by his wife, Sandra Kralcik, Athens; son, Theodore "Ted" (Angie) Kralcik, Athens; and daughter, Jodi (Travis) Wichlacz, Waupun; as well as two grandchildren, Devin and Logan. His mother, Dorothy Kralcik, Athens; a brother, LeRoy (Holly) Kralcik, Colby; and sister, Jean (Jerry) Blinker, Athens; further survive Rich.


Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Private family interment is scheduled. A time of visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Monday at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home and also one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
