Bieneck, Ernest H. (19 September 1888 - 10 October 1963)

 

Funeral services were conducted Saturday for Ernest H. Bieneck, 75, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, who died here last Thursday. He had been in poor health for several months.

 

Funeral services were held from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mr. Bieneck was born September 19, 1888, in Clark County, where he spent his entire life.  He was engaged in farming.  He retired several years ago due to failing health.  He was married February 14, 1912, to the former Marie Haas in St. Paul, Minn.

 

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Leona) Ehlers of Rt. 1 Neillsville, and Mrs. Charles (Lillian) Diers of Rt. 2 Neillsville, and by a son Paul, of Rt. 3 Neillsville; other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Emma Schlinkert of Neillsville; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were: Hiram Haugen, Joe Kurasz, John Gloff, Tony Erpenbach, Frank Zickert and Claude Paulson. Robert Mitte sang "What A Friend We have in Jesus" and "I’m But a Stranger Here" accompanied by Victor Lehman.

 

People from away attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ehlers of Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ehlers of Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. James Johnsrude of La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heisz and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schwellenbach of Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bieneck and family of Milwaukee; Mrs. Allie Haas, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Carnes of Jefferson; Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Wheeler and James C. Wheeler, all of St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Jung of Jefferson; Mr. and Mrs. John Gluck of Granton.
