Nissula, Maria (6 SEP 1886 - 20 NOV 1959)

 

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. John Nissula, 73, Monday, Nov. 23 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Evangelical Finnish Lutheran Church, Owen, Rev, Karl C. Wilkman officiating.  Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Nissula passed away Nov. 20, 1959 at Stanley Memorial Hospital of Pneumonia.  She had been an invalid from arthritis for the last 7 ½ years and the past four years made her home with her daughter, Mrs. George Wnukowski.

 

Maria Nissula was born Sept. 6, 1886 in Toholampi, Finland and in Sept. 1903 she came to America and resided in the following place: Winton, Minn., Red Lodge, Mont., Greenwood, Wis., and in the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.).  On April 12, 1912 she married John Nissula at Winton, Minn.

 

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Henry of Tomah, Wis., John of Greenwood, two daughters, (Bertha) Mrs. Milton Seaman, Greenwood, (Esther) Mrs. George Wnukowski, Withee, 8 grandchildren and two sisters, Sakri Nissula, Ashby, Mass., and Mrs. Emmi Ketonen, Ashby, Mass.
