Rand, Alta #3 (23 JUN 1913)

Mr. Alfred L. Devos and Miss Alta Rand were married at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. M. Rand, Monday evening, June 23, 1913.  Rev. W.T. Hendren of Greenwood officiated.  The wedding was a quiet home affair, only members of the family being present.  Paris Rand and the bride’s brother and Zura Fricke, her cousin, attended the bride and groom.

A bountiful supper was served and the couple took the morning train for Milwaukee and other points.

The groom is associated with S.M. Marsh in the law business here.  He is a graduate of the State University and the Law School, and during his residence in Neillsville has won the respect of all who know him, for his honesty, close application to his work, and reliability in his profession.

The bride is a young lady of equally high type intellectually and morally.  She was a successful teacher and has held a position in the Register of Deeds office for some time, where her efficiency and helpfulness have been much appreciated.  We extend to this worthy young couple our heartiest good wishes.  (Republican and Press)
