In comparison to last year the potatoes are cheap now. The potato company offers to sell potatoes here at the Chili house for 15 cents per bushel. It will apy the farmers to buy them and feed the potatoes to the pigs. The potatoes are quite solid yet.
Those who attended the wedding of Clark Waterman and Miss Vera Beeckler were Mrs. Frank Waterman and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gibson, Wenzel Gebhard and Mrs. Degener and Miss Vivian.
Wenzel Gebhard has a leave of absence up to July 5th. He is conductor on the Milwaukee street car system.
A carload of Acme binders, mowers and horse rakes were received. Not in the trust and best that is made at present.
Mr. Clause Maack came Sunday morning to stay a month with his wife who is still sick in bed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Degener.
Mr. and Mrs. Clark Waterman left Granton on a wedding trip to Escanaba, Mich., and other points, to be gone about two weeks.
Mrs. B. hillock and children returned Monday from their annual camp meeting.
Mr. E.R. Behringer is at present visiting with Mr. and Mrs. O. Sampe at Osceola. He intends to bring Mrs. Sampe and children back home with him.
Mr. Claus Maack and Vivian Degener made a trip per horse and buggy to Mr. and Mrs. Walter in the town of Grant on Tuesday.
H. Koser went to Marshfield on business on Tuesday.
