Neillsville Area Locals (28 November 1963)

 

Mr. and Mrs. James Doud and family of Alma Center were recent weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Reese.  Mr. and Mrs. Reese recently returned from Denver, Colo., where they spent several days  visiting relatives.

 

Dr. and Mrs. R. Washburn of Augusta visited recently with her sister, Mrs. George Zimmerman and called at the Joe Zimmerman home.

 

Col. And Mrs. Leo Jackson, former Neillsville residents who have been making their home in Waupaca, recently visited at the Dave Parry home before leaving to spend the winter in Tarzana, Cal., in the home of their son, Robert and his wife.  Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are at Cape Canaveral, Fla., where Bob was sent in connection with his work. The Jackson’s were accompanied by Mr. M. L. Claflin of Barron, also a former (missing words).

 

Mr. and Mrs. Werner Jenni plan to entertain their family for Thanksgiving dinner. Guests will be Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jenni, Philip and Lisa of Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Payne and Michael and Marsha of Sheboygan.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hill and family of Elroy, and Charles Scholtz of Germantown, spent the weekend at the Lewis Scholtz home.  Karen Hill was a guest at the Matt Gassen home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Counsell and children of Detroit, Mich., arrived Wednesday to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with his mother, Mrs. Lewis Scholtz.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lewerenz of Elroy visited one day last week with Amy Lewerenz.  They were accompanied to Neillsville by Mrs. Alvena Brandt of Mt. Prospect, Ill., who spent several days with relatives in Elroy.  Mrs. Brandt will spend an indefinite time with her daughter, Mrs. Lewerenz.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Alf Larson have moved from the former Williams house on Grand Avenue into the Robert Anderson house on State Street.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Brzezinski and daughter, and Donald Larson, of Milwaukee, spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alf Larson. The group plans to spend the Thanksgiving weekend at the Larson home.  The men plant to hunt.

 

Mrs. Orpha Grantam, who spent the summer with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wilson, has left to spend the winter with another son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Thompson, in Benson, Ariz.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gosse and family of Milwaukee, John Hoffman and the Rev. Mr. Koehler of Fond du Lac, were weekend guests of Mrs. Etna Leach.  Mr. Gosse and The Rev. Mr. Koehler each got a deer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Zank and family of Watertown spent the weekend at the Walter Zank and Art Meier homes.

 

Mrs. Marge Kearns visited relatives in Janesville last weekend.
