Some of the farmers have their corn planted while others are waiting or corn weather.

Fur coats, woolen blankets, good fires are still in use and it is almost June, something unheard of before.

Ed Weast took home material to paint his large barn, Saturday. He intends doing the work himself as it appears impossible to get painters now.

Last Friday evening a pleasant time was had at the Meinhardt home in honor of Otto’s birthday. River Square folks and many others assembled to remind him of the occasion. Good music, supper, and dancing was very much enjoyed by all present.
