Stigen, Ellen Marie (10 September 1953 - 26 February 1964)

 

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral home for Ellen Marie Stigen, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Argil Stigen of Rt. 1, Neillsville. The Rev. Evan Dieck of the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant, officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Ellen Marie died February 26, in Neillsville after a brief illness.  Ellen Marie Stigen was born September 10, 1953, in Belvidere, Ill., and came later with her family to Neillsville.

 

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Argil Stigen; two sisters, Gail and Catherine, at home; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fleck of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; and Mr. and Mrs. Nordahl Stigen of Rt. 1 Greenwood.

 

Pallbearers were: John Raine, Jerry Howard, Dennis Schultz and Wesley Stigen.

 

"In the Garden" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" were sung by Mrs. Donald Schultz, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

People from away attending the service were: Frank Fleck and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fleck of Rolling Meadows, Ill; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Northup and family of Union Grove; Mr. and Mrs. William Stigen, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Stigen and Mrs. M. Stigen of Westby; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene O’Neill of Belvidere, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Stigen of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schultz and Mr. and Mrs. Nordahl Stigen of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stigen and Mrs. Patricia Metcalf, Gina and Kelly of Union Grove.
