Hagedorn, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (59th - 22 March 1964)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hagedorn of 305 E. 5th Street, Neillsville, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary Sunday at the Louis Hagedorn home in the Town of Weston.

 

Mr. Hagedorn was born in Germany and came to America at the age of one.  Since that time he has resided in this area.  Mr. Hagedorn and the former Meta Wagner were married March 22, 1905, which also was his birthday.  Mrs. Hagedorn was born in the Town of Pine Valley.

 

Following their marriage they farmed in the Globe area for 43 years on the farm now operated by their son, Louis, and his family.  Mr. and Mrs. Hagedorn moved to Neillsville in 1948.

 

They are the parents of six living children, all of whom were dinner guests Sunday. They were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Lillie) Marg of Pine Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Julius Hagedorn and family; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hagedorn and daughter of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Louis (Helen) Nemitz and family of Bloomer; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Krause of Neillsville; and the Louis Hagedorn family.

 

Other dinner guests included Mr. and Mrs. Melvin, Irvin and Donald Marg and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Moldenhauer and son of Taylor; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nemitz and baby of Bloomer; Richard Hagedorn of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Strangfeld and daughter of Pine Valley; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dux of Loyal. Afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Linster and Mrs. Ruth Ebert of Neillsville.

 

Mr. and Mr. Hagedorn have 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

 

A daughter, Mrs. Richard (Erna) Schlueter, is deceased.
