Cleveland, Ardella (22 Feb. 1872-? Oct 1957)

 

Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Meyer Funeral Home for Mrs. George Cleveland, 85, whose death early in the forenoon Tuesday followed a stroke.

 

The former Ardella Mae Dilley was born Feb. 22, 1872, at Symeo, where she was married to Kurt Meyers in 1889. a daughter by this marriage, Mrs. Leona Riske, died in 1937.. Mr. Myers died in 1893. March 10, 1895 Mrs. Myers was married to George Cleveland. They moved to the Greenwood area in 1912 and 21 years ago they moved to Loyal. Mr. Cleveland died Aug. 27, of this year.

 

The Rev. Wendell Bennetts, pastor of the Methodist Church, conducted the funeral services. Mrs. Byron Zepplin was organist and Miss Nelda Foelske sang "No Night There", and "Abide With Me."

 

Pallbearers were Matt Vogel, James White, R. M. Pratt, Frank Kline, Albert Davel, and Gerald Brasier. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. William (Helen) Zell, Greenwood; three sons, Archie, Racine; Clifford, Albuquerque, N. Mexico; and Everett, Loyal; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

 

Out of town persons attending included Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Zell, Greenwood; Mrs. Clifford Cleveland, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Cleveland, Racine; Mrs. Arnold Schauder, Shawano; Mrs. Elton Dilley and daughter; Mrs. Ethel Peters and son and Mrs. Sylvia Kesting, Clintonville; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leisinger, Colby; Mrs. Buford Wilding and son, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Willis Wood, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bremer, Wis. Rapids and Mrs. Agnes Tuchscher, Marshfield.
