York Center (28 July 1911)

 

Willie Lawrence was moved home Thursday.  He is able to be up and around.

 

Quite a few from this vicinity went blueberrying last week and had fair success.

 

There was a dance at Heintown Friday night.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Adams returned from their visit at Texas, Friday.

 

Miss Alice Griffith is the guest of Miss Pearl Davis.

 

Rollie Benedict gave a party Friday evening.  There was a large crowd out and all joined in the games and had a fine time.  Peanuts and candy were served.

 

Mrs. Nettie Lawrence was the guest of Mrs. Anna Campbell one day last week.

 

Mrs. Wella Beecher returned Saturday from her visit at Stevens Point.  Her sister Bessie came back with her.

 

W. Turner and M. Bahl hauled cheese for Heibel & Beecher Monday.

 

We had a cold rain Sunday and it was near a frost Sunday evening.

 

A very sad accident happened Sunday morning when Harold, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Richmond shot himself.  It was thought to be accidental.

 

George Mortimer delivered a load of hogs to Neillsville Wednesday for his brother Jesse.
