Lee, Ruth (28 AUG 1913)

Thursday afternoon, Aug. 28th, 1913, the T.F. lee home was the scene of a pretty wedding when their only daughter Ruth was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Howard R. Ervin of Milwaukee.

Rev. Jos. Brown of the Presbyterian Church at Marshfield pronounced the sacred words which joined them.  The bridal couple was attended by Miss Ora Davis, close friend, as bridesmaid and by Bruce Erwin, the groom’s brother, as groomsman.  The bride was becoming attired in a handsome gown of white messaline, while Miss Davis was daintily attired in light blue silk voile.

Ruth, a quiet endearing girl attended our schools and grew to womanhood here and is today an accomplished worthy young woman quite equal to the responsibilities she must henceforth assume.

Mr. Erwin, though little known to us, has every appearance of being a man of honesty and abitlity and we trustworthy of the bride he has chosen and secured.  He is a fireman on the Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway, with headquarters in Milwaukee.

Immediately after the wedding dinner Oscar Jahr took the happy bridal couple to Marshfield by auto where they left for a wedding trip and visit at Kilbourn and Oconto Falls after which they will be at home in Milwaukee.  That their married life may be one of happiness, peace and prosperity is the wish of their host of friends and here and in which the News most heartily joins.
