Pleasant Ridge (23 July 1964)


Jimmy Young of Chicago spent the weekend with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuechenmeister.  His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Young of Chicago, are spending several days with his sister, Mrs. Ernest Kuechenmeister.


Mrs. Will Hubing of Circle, Mont., is visiting her late husband’s brothers, Charles, Arthur, and George Hubing, and their families.  Before arriving here she visited a sister-in-law, Mrs. Clara Koeppens, in Ft. Atkinson. Two other sisters the former Celia and Marie Hubing were guests at the Koeppens home.


Mr. and Mrs. George Mellen of Milwaukee are vacationing this week at Hatfield.  Mrs. Mellen is the former Lorraine Hubing.


Miss Shirley Magnuson arrived Friday from Minneapolis to spend several days with her mother, Mrs. Alfred Magnuson.


The Larry Babka family spent the weekend at the Arthur Hubing home.  On Sunday Wendell Hubing of Granton visited at the Hubing home.


Mr. and Mrs. Roy Suckow and Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Georgas spent a day this week at Sturgeon Bay.


Mr. and Mrs. Eric Olson and family of Beloit were weekend guests at the Leo Korth home.  Mr. and Mrs. Howard Olson of Neillsville joined the group for dinner Sunday at the Korth home.


Bob and Joe Schmidt of Waukesha spent the weekend with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Short and family.


Carl Drescher is a patient in Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, receiving treatment for a blood clot in his leg.


Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Chase, who sold their farm this spring to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eisentraut; are now making their home with their daughter, Mrs. Henry Schmidt, and her family in rural Loyal.


Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson attended a family gathering in Eau Claire Thursday. The occasion was in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson of Walla Walla, Wash., who have been visiting relatives in Eau Claire.


Mr. and Mrs. William Carl of Medical Lake, Wash., formerly of Neillsville, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary July 15.
