Aumann, Doreen A. #2 (11 AUG 1962)

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Loyal was the setting for the wedding of Miss Doreen Agnes Aumann of Loyal and A. Patrick Mrotek of River Falls, which took place August 11, 1962 at 10:00 a.m.

The August 11 wedding of the daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Aumann Sr., Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Alec Mrotek of Owen (Clark Co.), was a double ring ceremony.  Mrs. E.M. Trinka presided at the organ as the church choir sang the Mass.

Mr. Aumann gave his daughter in marriage before the altar decorated with gladioli and chrysanthemums.  For the occasion she donned a white wedding gown of hand clipped lace and tulle with a chapel length train.  The bodice had a Sabrina neckline trimmed with pearls and the skirt was detailed by alternating tiers of lace and pleated tulle, the back tiers flowing into the train.  Her headpiece, a taffeta and lace rose, was outlined by pearls and encircled by a veil of silk illusion.  She carried a cascade arrangement of red roses, ribbons and rosebuds.

Appearing in the bridal party in a pink street length dress was the matron of honor, Mrs. Raymond Miller, Loyal.  It was designed with a lace bodice, Sabrina neckline and accented by a cummerbund and a bow in the back.

Identically styled dresses in green, yellow, and blue were donned by the bridal aides, Miss Joyce Major, Menomonie Falls, Miss Jeanette Bentzler, Loyal and Miss Carol Mrotek, Rochester, Minn.  Each bridal aide carried carnations matching the color of her dress.

Attendants of the groom were Clair Mrotek, Rochester, Minn., best man, and groomsmen were Gene Major Menomonie Falls, Harold Bentzler Sr., Loyal, and Raymond Miller, also of Loyal.

Louis Aumann, Butler and John Mrotek, Greenbelt, Md., did ushering duties.

Wedding day events, the brunch and dinner took place in the parish hall, the reception at the parental Aumann home, and the dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The bride is a 1960 graduate of the Loyal High School and has been employed by J.C. Penney Co., Minneapolis, Minn.  The groom graduated in 1958 from the same high school and is a student at Wis. State College at River Falls.  The young couple will make their home at 210 N. Main St. in that city.
