Ratsch, Emma (24 June 1883 - 10 November 1964)

 

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Mrs. Herman (Emma) Ratsch, 81, of Rt. 1 Neillsville who died Tuesday at her home. The Rev. Norman Lindloff will officiate.  Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Georgas Funeral Home on E. 5th Street, Neillsville, until 12:30 p.m. Friday, when it will be taken to the church.

 

Mrs. Ratsch was the daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Zacha) Nowek. She was born June 24, 1883, in Torrington, Comm.  Her family moved to North Dakota, where they settled on a homestead.  She attended schools there and on November 22, 1911, was married to Herman Ratsch in Michigan, N. D.  They farmed in North Dakota, coming to Clark County in 1916, and have resided here since.

 

She is survived by her husband; seven children, Mrs. Carl (Edna) Stefan of Trevor; Iris smith, at home; Clarence and Harold Ratsch of Rt. 1 Greenwood; Robert Ratsch of Rt. 1, Neillsville; Mrs. Robert (Anita) Lulloff of Neillsville; and Mrs. David (Luella) Bragg of Rt. 1 Neillsville.  Other survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Bogart of Michigan, N. D., Mrs. Augusta Sandford of Whitman, N. D., Mrs. Minnie Rierson of Grand Forks, N. D., and Mrs. Ida Getschel of Scobey, Mont.; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

 

Mrs. Ratsch was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
