Washburn (12 November 1964)

 

Mrs. Ernest Kuhn will entertain the Washburn Homemakers Club Thursday, November 19, with dinner served at noon. The ladies will make stuffed toys at this meeting. Mrs. Eugene Simmons and Mrs. Albert Lincoln will present the project, "Laundering aids."

 

Mrs. Albert Lincoln entertained the Cannonville Ladies Aid last week Thursday, with quite a small attendance. The ladies voted to have a Christmas party at the next meeting, with the exchange of 50-cent gifts. The next meeting will be entertained by Mrs. Elmer Kapfer Thursday December 17, with dinner served at noon.

 

Mrs. Dave Krutsch visited Mrs. George Biliskis near Withee Friday afternoon.  Mrs. Biliskis had an auction Saturday to sell her personal property, furniture and real estate. She plans to go to Indiana to live with her daughter and family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bender of California called at the Christ Feutz and Ralph Short homes Monday morning.  Mr. Bender was raised in this vicinity and attended Cannonville School. They are visiting his brother, Dave, and his wife, in the Town of Grant, Elmer and his wife, near Loyal, his father, H. L. Bender at Bethel Nursing Home, his sister, Mrs. Essie Martin of Wisconsin Rapids, and another brother, Bernard, of Manitowoc.  They had a family gathering at the Bender hunting shack Sunday.
