Niznik, Anastasia (1882 - 18 MAR 1963)

Mrs. Anastasia Niznik, 80, passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rohland, rural Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), at 11:15 March 18, 1963.  She had been ill for some time, suffering from complications of old age.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 o’clock a.m. last Thursday from the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Church, with burial made in the parish cemetery.  Rev. Yakim Borowski read the final rites.  Pallbearers were Julius Rohland, Fred Rohland, Joe Kudingo, Frank Knusta, Otto Rohland and Mike Ustianonski.

The deceased, Anastasia Sitarski, was born in Poland where she lived until 1912, when she came to this country, first living in Chicago.  Here she met her husband, the late John Niznik, whom she married in 1914.  In 1920 they came to this community, settling on a farm northwest of Withee in northern Clark County.

Her passing is mourned by three sons, Steve and William of Lublin, and Paul of Withee; two daughters, Mrs. Marshall (Rose) Skinner, Dallas, Texas; and Mrs. Henry (Helen) Rohland, Withee, and 24 grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death, passing away in 1948.

Relatives from away that were home for the services were Mrs. Mary Stepanczerak, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Clarence Ogurek, Morton Grove, Ill.; John Mis, Chicago, Ill.; and Mrs. Marshall Skinner, Dallas, Texas.
