Christie, Loteen L. (3 December 1897– 29 November 1964)

 

Mrs. Hugh Christie, 66, of Greenwood died Sunday at a Marshfield hospital after a lingering illness.

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Grace Methodist Church in Greenwood. The Rev. David Kellin and the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold, pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.  Hill Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

 

The former Loteen L. Atkins was born December 3, 1897, near Christie, in the Town of Weston. She was married to Hugh Christie September 25, 1917, in Eau Claire. They farmed south of Greenwood for 44 years, retiring in 1961 and moving to Greenwood.

 

She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, the W. S. C. S., Forest Queen Royal Neighbors and the Neighborhood club.

 

Survivors include her husband; and a son, Verland, of Fairbanks, Alaska; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Bethel) Flikke of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Leon of Durand and George of Aberdeen, Wash.
