Motchenbacher, Emma (09 JULY 1891-05 MAY 1958)

 

Mrs. Joe Motchenbacher, 66, died at her home in Loyaal at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5. A sudden heart attack caused her death soon after she had returned home from church services.

 

Emma Pagelsdorf was born July 9, 1891 at Deerfield. At an early age she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pagelsdorf to a farm in the town of Eaton. She was married to Joe Motchenbacher, Dec. 31, 1912 at Loyal. Following their marriage they lived on a farm in the town of Loyal until 1920 when they moved into Loyal where they resided until 1934. They then moved to the Marshfield area returning to Loyal in 1941.

 

Mrs. Motchenbacher was a member of the Loyal Methodist Church and its women’s organization, the W.S.C.S. She was a member of Hope Camp, No. 819, R.N.A. for many years and held many offices in that society, among them the highest office, that of Oracle.

 

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Myron (Audrey) Goetz of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Will (Esther) Rondorf, Marshfield, and Mrs. James (Elsie) Blecha, Pasadena, Calif.; one brother, Ed Pagelsdorf, Loyal; and two grandchildren.

 

Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

 

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Wendell Bennetts officiating. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
