Marooned in Germany (15 August 1914)

Jos. Kaufman and Mrs. George Bergman, who (whose) homes are in Fairview vicinity, have been spending the summer months at their childhood homes in Germany, the former in Wurtemburg and the latter at Bremen. They expected to leave the Fatherland for the return about the 22nd of this month, but on account of the European war relatives and friends here believe that their departure will be delayed.  No apprehension is felt as to their safety while in the homeland.
