Maricle, Mr./Mrs. Ed (Gold - 17 JUN 1963)

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Maricle, route 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who were married June 17, 1913, celebrated the golden anniversary of that event at their home on Sunday, June 16.

The day began with an anniversary Mass celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, the immediate family and relatives attending.

Approximately 100 guests attended the open house from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Yellow roses fashioned the corsage and boutonniere worn by the anniversary couple.

The Maricles, who farmed at Thorp for 42 years before retiring in 1966, were married by the Rev. Fr. Guilott in the Eglise De Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minn.

They are parents of two sons, James Maricle, Waukegan, Ill., and Waldo Maricle, Greenwood, and of two daughters, Mrs. Stan J. (Gladys) Michur, North Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Stanley (Lorraine) Zanezich, Waukegan, Ill.  They also have eight grandchildren.

Out of town guests present were from Iowa, Waukegan, North Chicago, Ill, and Greenwood, Owen and Thorp.
